South African coal to Israel

President Ramaphosa, South Africa’s Parliament, Glencore, and African Rainbow Minerals :

South Africa boldly called out Israel for “genocide” at The Hague. Yet, behind the headlines, coal shipments from South Africa continue to fuel Israel’s war machine. South Africa cannot defend human rights on the global stage while quietly profiting from the very system it condemns. The hypocrisy must end!

As Gaza burns, South Africa’s coal keeps the lights on in Israel’s war machine.

Despite taking Israel to the world’s highest court for genocide, South Africa is still shipping record amounts of coal to Tel Aviv, powering the AI systems that track, target, and kill Palestinians. Even babies in Gaza are assigned an algorithmic score that can mark them for death.

But that’s not the most shocking part: these exports are run by Glencore, the world’s largest mining giant, together with African Rainbow Minerals, a company founded by billionaire Patrice Motsepe, who happens to be President Ramaphosa’s brother-in-law.

It’s hypocrisy on a shocking scale!
