Cobalt Mining for Tesla Batteries

Cobalt mining has been controversial after labor unions created miners' working standards in 2010. Electric car companies like Tesla need to avoid mining to get cobalt for their electric cars due to the abusive conditions miners are going through. Tesla has sought to "correct" this problem by announcing that they would no longer be interested in the Congo mines, but will move to Glencore mines. However, changing to separate cobalt mines doesn't actually lower their miners' risk of child labor or mistreatment.
Elon Musk claims the day is approaching that Tesla won't need cobalt at all, but testing has shown that their market is so strong and they'll need to keep using it for years to come. The firm has to work on moving its cars from lithium batteries to another (non-cobalt-derived) energy source. The Congo is considered to be unethical because of how they handle their miners and because they've used child labor to mine cobalt, but in fact, Tesla hasn't stopped using the notorious mines and will also use Glencore.
Companies, such as Tesla, need to focus on switching from lithium batteries to another (non-cobalt derived) source of energy for their electric vehicles.
Electric vehicle companies need to show their concern and remorse for knowing about the miners working conditions and continuing to use the cobalt mined by them.
