NIKE: End Uyghur Forced Labor

Uyghur Muslims are an ethnic minority in China that are currently being ethnically cleansed and being used for forced labor. This leaves the Uyghurs overworked and underpaid. Uyghurs have been sent to hundreds of factories across China, away from their autonomous region Xinjiang.
Nike is one of the many major corporations using Uyghur forced labor to manufacture their products. By being one of the largest multinational corporations, Nike is setting an example for other corporations that forced labor is fine to use. The Uyghurs have to keep up with high demand under poor work conditions in addition to unreasonable compensation. To end this, Nike must first, admit their wrongdoing. Nike needs to issue a public apology and find a way to compensate the Uyghurs. Nike should stop lobbying against the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act and lead by example and supporting the bill. Immediately after, Nike needs to come up with an alternative for the manufacturing of their products.

If our campaign is successful Nike will immediately find a manufacturing alternative, and other corporations using Uyghur forced labor will follow in Nikes footsteps. If this campaign fails, the use of forced labor will be further normalized and the fight for justice for Uyghurs will have to continue. We need to act now to end the crisis that Uyghurs are in. By signing this petition you will be standing up for Uyghurs and standing against corporations like Nike and the people they do business with.
China has put over a million Uyghurs in concentration camps, we have to act now before this number drastically increases.
