Stop The Massacre of Wild Animals in Taiwan ! Prevent National Park Remove Buffalo !!

Dear President Tsai, Ing-Wen,
  In the Yangmingshan area of Taiwan, the herd of Water Buffalo (Bubalus bulalis) in Qingtiangang is well known since last century. It contains the offspring of surviving cattle since the Japanese’s range land period after 1934. From February to December of 2020, the buffalo population has been restricted to a small range of 40-hectare enclosures, leading them to lack of nutrition to die. The dead bodies of bulls can weigh 300-500 kg, if old enough after 18-month old, growing to sexual maturity. The local dwarf cows can weigh 200-400 kg after 22-month old, and guard their calves carefully. Unfortunately, there are already 30+ Water Buffalo die hard in the protected area of Qingtiangang. Both bulls and cows have been restricted within an unfriendly barbed wire and violently stop them from any outward movement.
  Water buffalo is essential for various wildlife in Qingtiangang because wild ox can create temporary wetland around the forest, modify habitats of diverse species and improve grassland. Killing water buffalo using barbed wires has damaged both the ecological and cultural landscape in Yangmingshan National Park. However, the water buffalo have been long treasured by Taiwanese folk people. They should be protected under the Animal Protection Act. We CAN NOT ALLOW killing ox by using barbed wires. Taiwan is for sure to go to an animal-friendly country.
