De todas las formas de lidia, las becerradas son sin duda las más crueles.
Principalmente por dos razones:
La primera, que en ella se lidia animales menores de 2 años , para los que el sufrimiento físico y psíquico de las corridas de toros se ve incrementada por su mayor fragilidad, reducida capacidad de reacción y su desesperada necesidad de sentirse protegidos por su madre y su manada . Es por ello que, si bien el toro adulto apenas muge cuando es atacado con el fin de mostrar fortaleza, los desesperados mugidos de dolor y pánico de estos pequeños animales durante la lidia, intentado atraer la ayuda de los suyos, desgarran el corazón de cualquiera que tenga un mínimo de sensibilidad.
La segunda, porque en las becerradas normalmente lidian personas inexpertas, ya sean estudiantes de escuelas de tauromaquia, aficionados o público en general, que clavan los instrumentos de tortura en lugares indebidos, a menudo extrayéndolos y clavándolos una y otra vez tras intentos infructuosos , causando un tormento sin igual a estos pequeños animales.

Por eso, aunque pensamos que cualquier forma de tauromaquia debe acabar, por ser una forma de violencia gratuita hacia los animales, las becerradas deben ser erradicadas inmediatamente, por cuanto no solo suponen una forma atroz de tortura a animales de joven edad, sino que dentro del mundo taurino son muchos los que opinan que daña la imagen de la supuesta “fiesta” y también deberían acabar. Así, su eliminación obtiene más consenso entre ambas partes que ninguna otra forma de tauromaquia .
En consecuencia, exigimos:
Se lleve a cabo la regulación nacional y autonómica necesaria para que no puedan lidiarse en público o privado, bovinos de menos de 2 años, se dé o no muerte pública a los animales, en ninguna Comunidad Autónoma.
Estos espectáculos están regulados,
por los Reglamentos de Espectáculos Taurinos en aquellas CCAA que cuentan con uno propio o por el Reglamento de Espectáculos Taurinos Estatal en aquellas CCAA que no cuentan con un reglamento propio.
Esta petición exige pues medidas desde el Ministerio de Cultura para el primer caso y desde las CCAA correspondientes para el segundo.

Of all the forms of bullfighting, the one performed with calves is undoubtedly the cruelest.
Mainly for two reasons:
The first, because it deals with animals under 2 years of age, for which the physical and psychic suffering of bullfighting is increased by its greater fragility, reduced reaction capacity and its desperate need to feel protected by its mother and their pack. That is why, although the adult bull barely bellows when it is attacked in order to show strength, the desperate moans of pain and panic of these small animals during the fight, trying to attract the help of their own, tear the heart of any person with a minimum of sensitivity.
The second, because it is usually inexperienced people who are the matadors in this type of bullfights, whether they are bullfighting students, amateurs or the general public. These inept matadors nail torture instruments in improper places, often removing and nailing them again and again after unsuccessful attempts, causing an unequaled torment to these young animals. Therefore, although we think that any form of bullfighting must end, as it is a form of free violence against animals, the one using calves must be eradicated immediately, because not only they suppose an atrocious form of torture to young animals, but within the bullfighting world there are many who think that it damages the image of the supposed “fiesta” and believe should also end. Thus, its elimination obtains more consensus between both parties than any other form of bullfighting.
Consequently, we demand: The necessary national and regional regulations are carried out so that bullfighting with animals under 2 years of age are banned, whether or not the animals are killed in public and independently of in which Autonomous Community (Region) of Spain these take place.
These shows are regulated by the Bullfighting Regulations in those Autonomous Communities that have their own or by the State Bullfighting Regulations in those Autonomous Communities that do not have their own regulations.
