Butlins has decided to a temporary closure of all three sites.
Without your support on this i dont think a decision would have been later rather than the present.
Its amazing how many people agreed with this and with the power of the media our voices have been heard

As everyone is aware COVID19 has swept the world by storm. Thousands of people being infected and thousands of fatalities all over the world. This is a serious threat to the human race.
There have been lockdowns of countries flights being cancelled sports fixtures being cancelled. This is the biggest pandemic i think this world has seen.
Butlins in minehead holds about 5000 people when full to capacity. They hold arena events like the wrestling and darts and music weekends etc. Now being 5000 people crammed in a space all it needs is one of them people to catch COVID19 which could then spread around the site.
These people then go out into Minehead town centre and could pass this on to someone else who could then pass onto there families and grandparents etc.
Minehead is know as a retirement town where most offthe population is over 65 years old. These people are the ones at high risk aswell as myself and many others who have diabetes and other underlying health conditions.
So what i am asking is the consideration from Butlins and Bourne leisure is not to think about the money but your customers and residents of Minehead to temporary shut Butlins down until the curve of the virus starts lowering.
If you dont look after the resiidents of minehead and surrounding areas you will not have the staff to stay open so it would be in your best interest to temporarily shut your doors
