Taiwan should be invited to the WHO to help combat the Novel Coronavirus outbreak

Taiwan has been excluded from the WHO for years because of China's claim that Taiwan is part of it's territory. The reality is the People's Republic of China has never had any political nor any other juridictional control over Taiwan, yet the exclusion has put the well-being of 23 million Taiwanese people at risk. In fact, the fight against the Novel Coronavirus and any future outbreaks require global cooperation, and Taiwan, which already has 8 confirmed cases thus far, should be an indispensible force in the effort.  With the highly professional medical talents in our nation, Taiwan's participation in the WHO will not only ensure basic human rights for all but harness the medical strength of the whole world.
