All fresh produce to have a "picked on" date. We assume it has just been picked but in most cases it isn't

When we purchase fresh produce we are assuming that it was picked just recently, however, much of it is picked days, weeks and in some instances months beforehand and is held in storage. If its not organic then it is sprayed to stop it ripening (not just once) and sprayed again (often) to start the ripening process. We have a right to know when "fresh" is fresh and isn't last years harvest. eg apples oranges etc
