A 17-year-old boy from Dabaso village, Kilifi North constituency, is seeking financial aid to join secondary school.Benson Sulubu scored 399, the KCPE exam.He lives with his single father in a single-room makuti hut.Two of his siblings are mentally ill and his younger brother is in primary school.His father, who has tuberculosis, can only do menial jobs.“A sponsor funded my primary school education but said he cannot finance it further,” Sulubu said.He got a slot in Mukea Boys High School, Makueni, but the reporting deadline passed two weeks ago.Sulubu is appealing to the government or well-wishers to intervene.“Leaders are our neighbours but no one bothers. When we go to their offices, we are told they are too busy campaigning,” his father said.
