Chaudiere Falls in Canada's capital was once second only to Niagara Falls. Many thought them more interesting in their variety and setting. Ours is the only capital in the world with a waterfall at its centre. The Kettle was dammed up for sawmills and hydroelectric power. Their industrial use has ended. There are better ways to generate hydroelectric power. Let's get rid of the Chaudiere Ring Dam!

We can restore Ottawa's premier and most beloved tourist attraction to its former majesty. Fish will be able to move upriver again. American eels will no longer be pulverised in turbines. Boating will not be affected.

Let's listen to Grandfather William Commanda's vision. He was given the Key to the City of Ottawa. It should open something.

We can take action to make the freeing of the falls a matter of national pride when Canada's 150th birthday takes place on July 1st, 2017
