Magistrate of the White River Magistrates Court, Mpumalanga: Deny bail to the 3 SANParks employees arrested for alleged

Lawrence Baloyi ( a Section Ranger in the Kruger National Park), Andre Mabanda ( a Tourist Guide in the Kruger National Park) and Shakes Baloyi ( a General Worker in the Kruger National Park) were arrested on 21 September 2014 for alleged poaching activities after the latter 2 were apprehended hacking the horn off a rhino using equipment belonging to the Section Ranger. The employees of the Kruger National Park are tasked with the protection of wildlife and the education of the public about conservation. We request that these 3 individuals be denied bail in the hope that it will be a deterrent for any other would-be poachers.
