Premier Christy Clark and The British Columbia Liberal Party
The BC Liberals believe that Liquefied Natural Gas is a solution to our province's economic difficulties. The trouble is, it's a proposal that depends on extensive fracking in northern BC, the massive contamination of water, expansive pipeline development, and the leaking of methane into the atmosphere – all done to transport the natural gas to proposed LNG facilities along fragile, coastline waters. The most prominent being in Squamish at the site of an old pulp mill at the head of Howe Sound. Once there, the natural gas will go through a process to liquefy it, then stored and shipped through the BC coastline to the Asian market. In the end, there is no guarantee this huge investment and product will be economically viable.

Most of all, exploiting LNG is a denial of climate change and the impending doom to life, our environment, and our economy. Instead, our province, like other communities and countries worldwide, need to quickly invest in and expand renewable, sustainable technologies that are becoming more viable every day. Tell Christy Clark and the BC Liberal Party: “No to LNG”
