Don't put us further in debt. Stop the Canada Infrastructure Bank. Use the Bank of Canada.

Borrowing another &dollar120 billion from private banks
and investment corporations through a Canada Investment Bank at market rates of interest would add billions to our already un‐payable debt, reduce us to bankruptcy, IMF sanctions and austerity.
WE ALREADY HAVE THE BANK OF CANADA
to finance public infrastructure and services
at near‐zero interest rates
like we did from 1938 to 1974.
We financed our recovery from the depression and our part
in WWII. We built the Trans‐Canada Highway, the St. Lawrence Seaway, ports, dams, hospitals, universities, and public services with our publicly‐owned federal bank.
Since 1974 we have borrowed from global capital markets
at market interest rates, paying three times the actual
cost of every public asset. This has produced our
un‐payable debt, costs us &dollar30&dash40 billion in interest every year, and the always escalating costs of our services from every level of government..
We are paying to give away our Commons
to the global one percent.
We are paying to devastate our life‐support ecosystems.
Mr. Trudeau, Cabinet, MPs and Members of the Senate&colon
We ask you to take back our sovereign right and constitutional responsibility to create the money
supply on the strength of the work and credit
of the People of Canada.
