We are volunteers, sponsors, and supporters of the children of Happy Home orphanage in Kathmandu, Nepal , run by Bishwa Pratap Acharya and his wife Puja Pokharel. Over the past month we have collected enough evidence to prove that these children have been subject to mental, physical and/or sexual abuse - separated from their families unwittingly. Victims of a child trafficking mafia they were taken from relatives that we want to reunite them with.

The proprietors of the orphanage use these circa. 70 children for labour and to raise money from foreign sponsors and volunteers around the world by marketing them as orphans.

After five years of supporting and loving these children we are devastated to learn the truth and want to relocate them with their families or to a safe home. We have Nepali and foreign support on the ground ready to take care of them.

After receiving an official complaint, CCWB officers reported that Happy Home had never received a license to run as an orphanage as most of the children have at least one living parent and said that they have to be relocated back home by the end of Nepali year 2069 (mid April 2013). This has not happened.
