Stop trophy hunting - save the Amboseli elephants

To Tanzanian President, Samia Suluhu Hassan:

The Amboseli elephants desperately need your help. These beautiful creatures are under serious threat, following the granting of new hunting licenses - ripping up a 30-year-old agreement to protect them. We are calling on you to formalise a ban on hunting these elephants, and to work together with Kenya to ensure their conservation.

Stop trophy hunting - save the Amboseli elephants
In the last few months, three of the largest and most iconic elephants in Africa have reportedly been hunted down and killed – by wealthy trophy hunters for sport

These ‘super tusker’ elephants roam Amboseli national park and have been protected from trophy hunting for 30 years. Until now. Tanzania has begun to issue new licenses that threaten to wipe out this unique population.

More than 50 wildlife and conservation experts have written to the Tanzanian President calling on her to reinstate the ban and protect these elephants before it’s too late. Now, we can make sure their call reverberates around the world – sign now!
