Poland: Stand up for LGBTQ+ rights

As citizens from across Europe, we are concerned that Poland is consistently ranked as the worst place in Europe for LGBTQ+ people. We urge you to immediately remedy this situation, and as a first step towards full equality, legalise civil partnerships for LGBTQ+ people in Poland, granting them vital rights – based on the fundamental principles of equality and non-discrimination.

Polish LGBTQ+ people have faced hateful attacks in recent years – but now, there is finally a chance for real progress! The new coalition government is considering legalising civil partnerships – which would give all couples vital inheritance rights and state support to take care of a sick partner.
In a country where gay rights are heavily contested, the conservatives could block the new law any day.
