To Prime Minister Boris Johnson and all world leaders:

You are fiddling while the planet burns. We are shocked and saddened by new findings into the extent of climate anxiety and hopelessness in young people all over the world -- caused by government inaction. We call on you to acknowledge this crisis, and take urgent, decisive action to:
  • Massively scale up investments in renewable energy,
  • Keep promises on climate finance,
  • Phase out fossil fuels to cut carbon emissions in half by 2030,
  • And put half the Earth under protection to save nature.
Pledges won't solve our planetary crisis. We need real, determined action right now. This moment, and the future of our children, deserves nothing less.
