We are deeply shocked by the new law that allows mass euthanasia of dogs in Turkey. A country's image is strongly linked to how it treats its animals and Turkey was often cited as an example for its humane policy of sterilization and vaccination of stray animals. We ask you to remain true to these values ​​and to renounce these cruel measures that are ineffective and contrary to the recommendations of experts and the United Nations.

As many as 4 million stray dogs could be massacred under a new euthanasia law in Turkey. After they’re captured, their necks are broken or they’re suffocated in plastic bags.

The law could go into effect as soon as next Wednesday – on the week of World Animal Day… But lawmakers have one last chance to back down, so let’s make them hear our cry to STOP while there’s still time!
