End the War on Drugs
To Ban Ki-moon and all Heads of State:
We call on you to end the war on drugs and the prohibition regime, and move towards a system based on decriminalisation, regulation, public health and education. This 50 year old policy has failed, fuels violent organised crime, devastates lives and is costing billions. It is time for a humane and effective approach.

UN global drug policy is insane -- for 50 years taxpayers across the world have paid through the nose for a failed policy, while violent organized crime networks rake in trillions from illegal profits. But finally, a handful of Latin American heads of state have called for urgent reform at the UN and 2 US states have just voted to end marijuana prohibition and regulate it.
Policy experts say this is our best chance in decades to break the the mega cartels and treat addicts rather than jailing them. Politicians know their policy is a disaster, but claim the public isn't ready for an alternative. Let's give the bold Latin American leaders the public support they need to push for change at the UN and show the blockers we not only accept a sane and humane policy -- we demand it. Sign the urgent petition now, watch the brand new film "Break the Taboo" that explains it all and then share both with everyone.
