Abdullah is only ten years old. He should be learning, laughing and playing freely like any other child. Instead, he survived a genocide in Gaza, and now, he is fighting for his life against leukemia.
No child should ever have to carry this kind of suffering.
Thankfully, this little guy is getting treatment in Italy, after being granted a seat on a medical evacuation flight, with his mother and one-year old sister at his side. But his father and two other brothers are still in Gaza, facing new bombardments. Abdullah’s fight against cancer is made harder by the anxiety of not having his whole family safe – this is not the way to heal.
