You are a hero, Ahmed!:
We saw what you did. You risked your life for people you did not know, because you saw them as fellow human beings.
We are holding you in our thoughts as you recover in hospital, and wishing you a gentle full recovery.

Yesterday, a horrific antisemitic attack struck a Hanukkah celebration on Bondi Beach in Sydney. At least fifteen people were killed.
In the middle of that terror, one man did something extraordinary.
Ahmed al-Ahmed, a 43-year-old father of two, ran toward the gunfire, tackled one of the attackers, and disarmed him. He was shot multiple times. His actions likely saved many precious lives.
Today, we want to show that hate will not divide us.
We are inviting as many people as possible, from the whole world, to sign an open letter to Ahmed, thanking him for his courage and to wish him a swift recovery as he heals in hospital.
