As citizens worldwide, we urge you to use every diplomatic channel with Iran to halt Taraneh Rahimi’s execution and immediately free the Rahimi twins and 16 others detained after the Isfahan protests. Iranian authorities must stop using executions to silence dissent. Act now before it is too late.

Taraneh and Romina turned 20 behind bars.
One night, masked agents dragged the twins from their bed. Their mother searched for them for four months, unsure whether they were still alive. When she finally found them, she barely recognised her own daughters: they were limping, covered in bruises, with part of their hair ripped out by soldiers.
The court has now sentenced Taraneh to death and Romina to 25 years in prison. Yet no evidence of any crime was ever presented. The sisters say the soldiers forced Taraneh to “confess” under torture, by threatening to make her watch Romina being raped.
Our movement has stood up for people facing unjust imprisonment before, and succeeded in freeing them. As Taraneh’s lawyers are appealing, this narrow window could be our last chance to save her life.
