Libya: say NO to gender apartheid
To Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, Prime Minister of Libya:
We are horrified by Libya's recently announced plan to launch an all out war on women's rights. As citizens of the world committed to human rights for everyone, everywhere, we call on Prime Minister Dbeibeh to put a stop to this plan immediately and to respect the rights of all women and girls in Libya.

That’s what acting Interior Minister Emad Trabelsi said at a recent press conference.
He wants to force women and girls to go fully veiled, outlaw unmarried men and women meeting in public, make women get written permission from their father or husband to get a passport, and create a ‘morality police’ to enforce it all.
Libya is the next front in the war on women.
But we can help stop this before it starts. Trabelsi’s boss, Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, can’t risk losing UN support by going ahead with this gender apartheid. He needs the UN to back the legitimacy of his government against a rival regime. Join us and we’ll work with top UN officials to send a strong message to Libya’s leaders:
