Dear Mr Grant,

Over 140,000 people have now donated to fund Avaaz to fight your legal subpoena. If your aim was to intimidate, it's backfired.

You're losing to people power in the legislatures and the streets, and you'll lose in the courts too.

But why waste so much time and money?

We believe, based on science, that your business model of chemical agriculture is dangerous. It needs to change. You could change it.

You claim the science is wrong, that it's biased. And we can't trust the science you have funded. So how about this:

Avaaz will donate up to $500,000 to fund a new, entirely independent study of the safety of your glyphosate product, Roundup, if you will match our donation. We must each agree to the governance and design of the study, and to acknowledge the results.

Many people see Monsanto as a monster. This is a chance to show you're something different.
