In days Karen Bradley -- local MP and Media Secretary -- has to decide whether to launch a full investigation into Rupert Murdoch's record, as he bids to take over Sky TV. If you feel she should ensure there's a full assessment of hacking, harassment, fake news and other dangers, send her an urgent message now! Here are some points to consider, but the more personal and detailed you can be, the better.
  • I don't want Rupert Murdoch to have more power to broadcast divisive, fringe views, such as attacks on the NHS, or climate science.
  • Murdoch's media hacked the phones of citizens and politicians across the UK, and now his Fox News is embroiled in a major sexual harassment scandal.
  • With that track record, there is no way the Murdochs' can be trusted with more of our media.
  • Don't let Murdoch pull the wool over your eyes -- launch a proper investigation now!

In a few days, Staffordshire Moorlands MP Karen Bradley will decide whether to launch an investigation that could stop Rupert Murdoch grabbing control of more of Britain's media.

After a barrage of opposition to Murdoch buying Sky, Bradley is on the fence, but the Murdochs' lawyers and lobbyists are weighing in hard. Hearing from the people who elected her could tip her decision the right way!

It's the Moorlands vs the Murdochs. Just a few weeks ago, constituents hit the streets in Leek with a giant Rupert Murdoch head and "Where's Karen Bradley?" signs. Now if we all write to her directly, we can encourage her to face down Murdoch next week.
