Brazil: no amnesty for Amazon criminals!
The Brazilian Congress just approved a bill to open up the equivalent of 840 thousand football pitches in the heart of the Amazon to ranching, mining and big agriculture. Brazil's president could stop it with a veto.

The disastrous law gives amnesty to illegal squatters and ranchers clear cutting parts of this protected rainforest! There’s one country that could put a stop to it: Norway, the biggest donor to the Amazon Fund.

And guess what: Brazil’s president is in Norway this week to ask for more investment for the country! If Norwegian leaders give him a clear message -- backed by all of us -- that further funding requires strong Amazon protection, we could get him to veto the bill.

Under Brazilian law the president has until this Thursday to sign, or veto. Let's kick up a huge scandal: no amnesty for Amazon criminals! Sign now and send to everyone you know!
