Red card for racism
Aleksander Čeferin, President of UEFA:
We call on UEFA to extend its disciplinary rules to hold clubs accountable when a player is officially found guilty of racism, including imposing meaningful fines and suspensions from competitions. UEFA has the opportunity to lead real change and send a clear message to the world: racism has no place in football.

Aleksander Čeferin, President of UEFA:
When racism is proven, a player in a European competition can face up to a ten-match suspension. But their club suffers no serious consequence — and can even go on to win championships. If clubs were suspended from the Champions League, one of the most important interclub football competitions in the world, players and teams would feel real pressure to ensure that racism has no place in football.
Right now, we have an opportunity to demand change. UEFA has opened an investigation, and public pressure is already building. If enough of us raise our voices, we can take this demand directly to the president of UEFA and call for a change in the regulations so that clubs involved in proven cases of racism are disqualified from competition. Let's come together and demand for action!
