We demand a full and independent investigation into the murders of the journalist Ruben Espinosa, human rights activist Nadia Vera, and three other women in Mexico City. The governor of Veracruz State, Javier Duarte, should also be investigated thoroughly and without delay. No more impunity for attacks against a free press in Mexico!

Mexican Govt: Justice for Journalist Ruben Espinosa!
Ruben Espinosa used his camera to fight injustice, but when he started receiving threats, the Mexican photojournalist fled to the capital, considered a safe zone for reporters and human rights workers. Safe until now.

He was just found tortured and murdered, along with outspoken human rights activist Nadia Vera Pérez, and three others. The case has exploded in the Mexican and global media, sent thousands into the streets -- and opened up a rare door for real justice for journalists under attack in Mexico. Together we can do something to keep that door cracked open!

Incredibly Mexican authorities are investigating this as a robbery/murder, despite threats made against Ruben and Nadia for their work. Let's show the world is watching and waiting for an independent investigation -- to drive the point home we'll plaster Mexico City and Mexican consulates with the portraits of Ruben, Nadia, and the other victims.
