It’s happening. Trump has built up ground troops ready to invade Kharg Island, Iran’s biggest oil terminal. If this happens, we aren’t just looking at a war. We’re looking at an explosion of violence and a potential death spiral economically. 

Trump is pulling the world deeper into this madness. But on Monday, Spain gave us a roadmap to stop it.

In a massive move, Spain’s government just closed its airspace to all US military flights involved in the war. Italy has also refused landings in Sicily. They’ve stood up bravely and with integrity: refusing to be complicit in Trump and Netanyahu’s illegal war. 

Now it’s our turn. In March, Keir Starmer agreed to let Trump use UK military bases, including the RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. This doesn’t just go against what Keir said, it could also make us a target.
