What’s happening on X right now isn’t a technical glitch.
Elon Musk chose to weaken safety and moderation on his social media platform. He then released an AI tool, Grok, with fewer protections. Now that tool is being used to sexualise images of women and children.
It could happen to you. It could happen to someone in your family. People are using Grok to undress women and to create realistic images of with all sorts of dehumanising scenes, including explicit sexual violence.
Authorities have opened investigations, but the harm hasn’t paused – people are still being targeted, abused and hurt.
It’s time to pull the emergency brakes – suspend Grok’s image generation now, until proper protections are added and the abuse ends. Add your name and we’ll take this to governments in the coming days!
