Stop drilling in the Amazon

To President Noboa of Ecuador and all world leaders:

As global citizens, we urge you to end all fossil fuel extraction in the Amazon and work towards a phase out plan of coal, oil and gas with science-based end dates. Climate change, deforestation and other threats are pushing the Amazon and its people close to the limits of survival. We call on you to turn away from fossil fuels now and triple renewable energy to keep 1.5C within reach.

Stop drilling in the Amazon
It was a stunning victory: 59% of Ecuadorians voted to ban fossil fuel drilling in the super-biodiverse Yasuní National Park last August, reigniting hope for democracy and the planet in movements around the world.

But less than six months later, Ecuador's new president wants to carry on with drilling anyway!

Indigenous leaders across the Amazon are mobilizing like crazy to ensure Ecuador's democracy and rainforest are protected -- and they need us to show President Noboa and other Amazon leaders that drilling against the will of the people will unleash a powerful global backlash.

Add your name now to stand with the Ecuadorian people and demand a permanent end to drilling in the Amazon!
