UK: Stop the headlines of hate

To Paula Nickolds, Managing Director of John Lewis, Richard Pennycook, Chief Executive of The Cooperative Group and other Daily Mail advertisers:

As British people concerned over the hateful agenda of the Daily Mail in their coverage of vulnerable refugees and migrants, which has led to spike in hate crimes in our communities, we call on you to cancel all advertising campaigns and promotional partnerships with the paper unless the editor responsible for this corrosion of public decency, Paul Dacre, resigns. Your advertising in the Daily Mail is funding hate and must be stopped.

UK: Stop the headlines of hate
Toy company Lego has just dropped ads in The Daily Mail over its bigoted abuse of foreigners. Now we can get John Lewis to follow suit, and quieten this megaphone of hate!

John Lewis is one of the biggest advertisers in the Mail, and its principled new boss is under pressure to follow Lego’s lead. John Lewis just got oodles of free publicity with its latest Christmas advert, and we can persuade it to get more by announcing it’s dropped ads in the Mail.

When enough of us sign, we’ll stage creative actions at John Lewis stores to grab the headlines in the run up to Christmas! Sign up now - then share widely!
