To the Arab League, European Union, United States, and Friends of Syria:

As global citizens, we call on you to take immediate action to stop the deadly terror in Syria. Enough is enough. We ask you to immediately demand a ceasefire to stop the bloodshed so that parties can come to the negotiating table to agree on a way forward. Until a ceasefire is reached, we call on you to work together and with the international community to enforce a no fly zone to stop the bombardment of Syria’s civilians and ensure that humanitarian aid reaches those most in need.

Syria: the last straw
Syria is turning into a searing scar on human history: 80,000 people already dead, crimes against humanity -- rape, torture, disappearances -- committed on a daily basis, 4.5 million forced out of their homes, and now reports are describing our worst fears: that President Assad has been using chemical weapons on terrified civilians.

The red-line has been crossed: it’s time for our leaders to step up and support an immediate ceasefire to stop the bloodshed. The military fight won’t resolve this conflict, it’ll only cause more pain and sorrow -- the sooner the killing stops, the sooner true negotiations towards peace can have a chance to succeed.

The Syrian people have been desperately crying out for help, asking 'where is the world?' - now it’s time for the international community to respond. Every day we delay Assad gets more confident that he can use chemical weapons with impunity. Act now to tell our leaders the horrors have gone on long enough.
