EU: Uninvite the Taliban
To EU leaders:
As concerned EU citizens, we urge you to immediately cancel all planned meetings with the Taliban. It is not only illegal, but also inhuman to send Afghans back to a country where they are in danger of persecution, torture, or other serious human rights violations. Do not negotiate with these refugees' lives.

In just weeks, the EU is set to host the Taliban in Brussels. The same Taliban who lash women, ban girls from school, and let their people starve.
And if past meetings are any guide, women will be completely shut out. A “male-only” meeting with the Taliban right here in Europe.
The goal of this meeting is chilling: EU leaders want to negotiate the return of refugees back to Afghanistan. These are the same refugees who risked their lives escaping. If they come back, they face the worst abuse.
We have a chance to stop this. If we raise a massive outcry, we can still force the EU to cancel this meeting with the Taliban before the first handshake. Add your name and Avaaz will mobilize human rights lawyers and a UN expert to publicly pressure EU leaders!
