Call Ofcom: Don't let the Murdochs off the hook!

Watch Fox News presenters and panelists discredit a scientific report on climate change, then call Ofcom to make a complaint and ask them to investigate. Ofcom's friendly staff will take your call - see the points below if you need suggestions of what to say.

How to make a complaint

  • Call 020 7981 3040, Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm
  • Press Option 2 for complaint
  • Press Option 2 again, for channels other than the BBC
  • This gets you to a real person - now make your complaint
  • Info you need to provide:
    • Name of Channel (Fox News), programme (“The Fox News Specialists”) and when it was broadcast (12 July)
    • What’s happened? 'The Fox News Specialists' discredits a major scientific study as alarmist garbage and suggest climate change is just 'the weather changing every day'.
    • You'll also need to provide your name and contact details
    • If you'd like to use the web form to complain click here.

Some points to help you make your complaint - but the more personal, the better

  • Fox's framing of a scientific study as an 'absurd piece of environmental garbage' and referring to 'climate change hysteria' is irresponsible and ignorant and makes light of the real challenges our planet is facing.
  • The show is misleadingly called "Fox News Specialists" when there was not a single scientist on this show that discussed a scientific report. Fox News is not committed to "accuracy and impartiality."
  • I expect Ofcom not to allow such lies and propaganda to be broadcast in the UK. Fox News should be taken off the air.
