The UN and the Dutch government should take responsibility and compel the people of the Netherlands to change this bad image of black people.

Black Pete is a racist stereotype and it has been proven scientifically that is harmful to expose children to this. When the Dutch abolished slavery in 1863, they should have abolished Black Pete as well. Black Pete was only introduced to the Sinterklaas feast in 1850. What is now a yearly feast for many people in Holland, is also a yearly drama for many other people in Holland who want to stay inside until the black faces are gone again.
