We are drawing near to the International Day of Peace, September 21, 2015. War, crisis and oppression are rife in the Middle East and North Africa. Many people have been struggling with ethnic and religious wars and hunger. As such, asylum seekers have been endangering their lives in order to find safety elsewhere. We believe that dictatorships and theocratic regimes in the Middle East, along with the compromising foreign policies of western countries, have been the most considerable obstacles for peace in the region. For one thing, Tehran regime’s violent interference in the region through the Quds Force of the IRGC and their brutal tactics have caused the ongoing massacre and destruction in Syria. In addition, the Islamic Republic has set up and keeps supporting over 46 terror cells in Iraq and Syria. Besides, that regime has also been a main reason for the creation of different terrorist groups such as the ISIS and Al Nusra. As a whole, these warmongering and terrorist organizations have posed the most critical threat to peace in the Middle East. As a result, violence erupted in Syria and Iraq, and families were forced to flee their homelands and seek asylum in Europe. Only too late did the world realize the terrible consequences of the humanitarian crisis in the Middle East. Men, women and children are being sacrificed on a daily basis as a consequence of the world’s obliviousness towards the afflictions of the ordinary people in the Middle East. Now, all of you western political leaders and international human rights commissions who have extended your hands towards such a regime that not only has created such a disastrous situation in the Middle East but has also been suppressing the people of its own country for the past 37 years, you will be accomplice to this regime’s terrible crimes and be held accountable by future generations for appeasing this regime. Do you really think that by supporting a very precarious “Nuclear Deal” with the regime of Iran you will be able to secure peace for the Middle East and the whole world? Do you not think that this criminal regime, as soon as it finds the propitious moment, will not start making an atomic bomb? In light of the facts stated above, we, the undersigned, would like to ask you to please stop supporting the regime that is the main reason for the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. We believe that as long as the regime in Tehran exists and keeps exerting its totally negative influence on the Middle East, world peace will be a farfetched dream. In fact, world peace will not come into being unless those who can support the peoples’ movements towards democracy. As such, we, peace activists and ordinary people from around the world, expect you to stop supporting the regime in Iran in whatever manner possible, including supporting the precarious nuclear deal. Instead, we would like to ask you to give peace a chance by supporting the popular movements for democracy in Iran and the wider Meddle East that will altogether remove the threat of the rogue regimes such as that of Iran.
