Justice for Rape Victims in Pakistan- Use of DNA Evidence

The rape cases in Pakistan are tried without DNA evidence making it a challenge for women to prove the assault. The Council of Islamic Ideology, which is the advisory body of the government has recently declared that DNA test cannot be considered as primary evidence in rape cases. This leaves the victims hopeless, who will either refrain from reporting the cases or suffer unfair outcomes.
