Despite the obvious opposition to the Danish constitution, clever bureaucrats have been ordered to claim that the EU Finance Pact does not involve handing away sovereignty.
On this background parliament will see to that Denmark is appended to the pact.
The consequence is that Denmark loses its freedom to change basic economic policies by pleading to always keep a surplus budget, under penalty from the EU.
This state of affairs binds not only the present government, preventing the investment strategy the new government were elected on, but also limits Danish policies for all future.
Do not hide behind legal mumbo jumbo, admit that the only democratic option is to ask the people whether they want this limitation or not - let the Danes vote in a referendum.
