Release Shaykh Salman Al-Odah and other Saudi Ulama

Recently, a prominent and globally followed Saudi Arabian Islamic scholar Shaykh Salman Al‐Odah was arrested after he tweeted (in reference to isolation of Qatar): "May God harmonise between their hearts for the good of their people." His arrest followed that of another Saudi Islamic scholar Awad Al‐Qarni who had expressed similar views. According to media reports, Al‐Odah and Al‐Qarni are amongst some twenty Saudis who have been arrested over the past few weeks. This petition calls on Muslims worldwide to express their outrage at what can only be termed an injustice. It further calls on the powers that be in Saudi Arabia to release Salman Al‐Odah and his peers; who are viewed as voices of reason by Muslims around the world.
