SAVE THE GALLOWA!!!! We're against FRACKING in Britain, especially Galloway. We believe we should not let greedy capital
ists take huge paychecks from American Fracking companies, whilst completely ignoring environmental laws that were put there to protect us, and everything else in our environment. Fracking in America has polluted the underground water table so badly, that people can set fire to their own tapwater, even when they have their own wells, which they believed to be safe. It is unfilterable, highly toxic, and the actual process itself means it is highly unpredictable, they pour millions of litres of chemical mixture into the ground, per frack, to try to release the gas that is underneath the ground, and sell it back to us....they have so far identified 560+ chemicals in the mixture they use, but there are many more that are unidentified yet. The fracking stations release highly poisonous gases into the air, and where people have lived near them in America, many cases of cancer have been reported, as well as reportings of people losing their sense of smell and taste. There are also many cases of contaminated water supplies near fracking zones which have wiped out all the wildlife living in and around the water.
They are planning to start fracking in Canonbie, Dumfries and Galloway, despite the environmentally controversial issues that have been seen in places that have been fracked already.
