Portsmouth City Council

From its inception as the Registry Office in Portsmouth, to the days of a SCREAM pub, to now, many of us hold fond memories of The Registry, and it would be a great loss to lose not only another watering hole, but a Pompey landmark. Portsmouth City Council has recently received a planning application to turn The Reg into student accommodation, comprising of 43 rooms (you can view it here); http://idox.portsmouth.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=consulteeComments&keyVal=MZGJ6AMOH5700)

We are asking that you sign this petition to show your objection to this application, and to give your support to keep The Reg as a pub, for the people of Portsmouth. Portsmouth does not need to lose another one of its pubs or historic buildings to yet more property development.
