Dear friends,

Fracking shakes the core of the earth, destroying land from the inside out and wreaking havoc on the people and animals on the surface. In a crazy move, my country, Botswana, is gearing up to frack in the middle of the delta that hosts the world’s largest elephant migration -- a breathtaking procession of tens of thousands of these majestic animals.

I saw my first wild elephant as a child, and I’ll never forget the sight. I want to ensure future generations share that joy, and see the elephants too. But fracking could poison the water they drink in their dry season home, threatening their lives. That's likely why Botswana has so far kept the fracking exploration quiet hoping no one will find out.

This week, leaders are meeting in Botswana at an emergency Elephant Summit to discuss how to protect the elephants. It's the perfect time to make fracking in the elephants’ home a huge issue and shame Botswana into protecting, not poisoning, their elephants. Lets join together and face this down -- sign the petition and help protect the elephants from the frack attack!
