PRESIDENT OBAMA, THE WHITE HOUSE, UNITED NATIONS
Petition to listen..... Petition to act......
Crimes of Unlawful killings, Unfair Executions, Military Trials for Civilians, Torture and Enforced Disappearance must be investigated immediately. The people of Egypt deserve no less.
Since General AbdelFattah El-Sisi assumed power via a military coup in 2013, Egypt has been on a downward spiral of injustice and tyranny. Over 40,000 civilians, journalists, politicians, professors and political activists have been detained and hundreds have been sentenced to death or killed by egypt's security forces. Nearly 2,000 civilians have been referred to military courts. The international community can't be silent towards Human rights violations taking place in Egypt which saw the execution of six men been carried on May 17th, 2015 in what's called; Arab Sharkas case.
Recently, 121 political leaders, parliament members, academic professors, public figures, received the death sentence, among them the first democratically elected president Mohamed Morsi.
"the use of military courts to try civilians violates the 1981 African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights, which Egypt's parliament ratified in 1984." said Human Rights Watch on April 4th, 2015.
