Sir Christopher Geidt, Private Secretary to Queen Elizabeth II

Dear Sir Christopher,

We the undersigned members of the British public, the Commonwealth and concerned members of the International Community would politely request that Her Majesty the Queen does not travel to Israel for commemorations around the centenary of the Balfour Declaration. The British Foreign Office has described this as “unfinished business” and for the Palestinian People and their global supporters, it would add insult to injury. Most important, it would embroil Her Majesty in a controversy which is likely to prove highly damaging to the international standing of the British Monarchy.

Respectfully Yours,

Elizabeth Morley

A concerned private citizen
