Stop Agresearch job losses and relocations

Science and Innovation Minister Steven Joyce, the NZ cabinet, the prime minister John Keys
New Zealand's’s largest publically owned Crown Research Institute, AgResearch, has announced details of proposed staff relocations and redundancies. This will have major negative effects on Hamilton and Dunedin and harm NZ national science skills.

The eighty page Agresearch statement of corporate intent 2013 t0 2017 is the plan.
The process has started. It is a big machinery grinding into gear but I do believe it could be made to grind to a halt or change direction.
The only thing I can think of in trying to stop the process is at a political level. If enough people organize to oppose it and there is enough "political heat" someone with the power to do so (the minister,cabinet, prime minister) should stop or change this ill thought through idea.
