Voter pledge: Stop Keystone XL, Protect our Future

I pledge that I will never vote for any member of Congress who votes to approve construction of the Keystone XL pipeline. The health and safety of our people and planet are vastly more important than fossil fuel industry profits and political games.
The proposed Keystone XL pipeline would mean "game over" for human civilization as we know it, according to James Hansen, NASA's head climatologist for 32 years. Burning Canada's tar sands, which Keystone XL would enable, would release enough carbon pollution to cause catastrophic runaway climate change and jeopardize the future of life on earth.

Instead of sacrificing the safety of future generations for a pipeline that would create only 35 permanent jobs, we need massive investment in renewable energy, public transit, and conservation to create millions of sustainable well-paying jobs and make America a better and more beautiful place.
