We want Leaves Eyes out of the Metal Female Voices Festival
Hi guys,
as some of you may know, one of the singers/owners of Leaves' Eyes, Alexander Krull, cheated on Liv Kristine, his wife, with another woman. Liv did not agree with Alexander keeping an extra-conjugal relationship before getting divorced and hence the whole band decided to kick her out of Leaves’ Eyes just one week before heading to Indonesia to play in a metal festival.
They chose a new face for the band in just one week and Liv didn’t even know about it, which is simply outrageous. And worse: not only she was left in a miserable situation in her private life, but the band keeps on addressing Liv’s departure to the fans as if it had been a bed of roses.
As fans of the band (or what they used to be), we cannot condone with the behavior of the members towards Liv. Since MFVF is a festival which honors female vocalists, who either lead or give life and recognition to a band, a festival that empowers and cherishes women for their talent, charisma and personality, we believe it would be disrespectful, in the least, to keep a band, whose members’ attitudes have been so unspeakably ignoble, as a headliner of the show. We also point out that it has absolutely nothing to do with the new lead singer, Elina, to whom we wish the best of luck from now on.
We would just like to see some respect, compassion and coherence from the organizers of the event in such a distressful situation.
Said that, we appeal that you reconsider having Leaves’ Eyes as one of the headliners of the festival in 2016.
