DONT SELL THE DUTCH EMBASSY IN BANGKOK

We plead to the ministry of Foreign Affairs to NOT sell the historic Dutch Embassy in Bangkok. The Embassy is a heritage building with amazing history and location and the most beautiful embassy building of any foreign embassy in Thailand and also the most beautiful of all the Dutch Embassies worldwide.
It would be quite short sighted to gain temporary profit and selling such an important asset. Surely a decision that anyone would later regret and a decision that no minister would like to take responsibility for. An embassy is not merely a place for transacting business matters but a true representation of a country. On behalf of the business community in Thailand and all Dutch residents we seriously request for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to not settle for unnecessary short term cash gain, which serves very little purpose for the long term and to safeguard this sovereign heritage site of the Dutch Kingdom.
