The house of Hatzigiorgakis Kornesios is one of the finest examples of urban architecture of the 18th century and it is in the heart of the historic capital of Cyprus, Nicosia. It currently serves as a museum after it has been carefully and respectfully to its role renovated and designed. Lately there have been allegations that the archbishop has set eyes on the museum and wants to turn it into a church museum in order to add it to the celebration of the 200 years since the Greek revolution amongst the other three buildings that will serve similar purposes. The public is concentrated and focused on safeguarding the House of Hatzigiorgakis Kornesios character and heritage.
